HARF will Recognize 17 Student Scholarship Recipients in San Francisco this September

The Hotel and Restaurant Foundation (HARF) recognizes the hospitality and tourism industry’s next generation of leaders who demonstrate excellence in academics and in their professional career.

This year, 17 students received a HARF scholarship and have been invited to attend the 2015 Awards Reception at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco this September. The scholarship recipients will enjoy an evening of networking with top industry professionals, an awards ceremony, and dinner.

Scholarship recipient and incoming senior at The Collins College Tia Breininger used the award to help finance her summer study abroad trip to Italy where she was able to take hospitality and culinary classes and immerse herself into a new culture.

"I have grown tremendously as an individual from the experience," says Breininger. "HARF has also giving me the opportunity to network with respected industry professionals, which I know will help shape my career."
