The Collins College Showcases its New Building's Latest AV Technology
The Collins College’s newly opened state-of-the-art building is equipped with the latest in audiovisual technology that fosters collaborative learning and interaction for student success.
The Collins College and ClearTech teamed up to host a symposium for the campus community as well as other local university’s IT personnel, to showcase the capabilities of the new technology while educating attendees on all of the integral processes and procedures necessary to complete such a successful project. ClearTech is the AV technology provider for the new building.
Approximately 100 guests got the inside scoop about the new technology with a panel discussion, demonstrations and tours. The event started with a hands-on group “tech-cercise”, which consisted of four groups completing a puzzle on the touch-screen whiteboards with short-throw projectors.
Following the exercise was a panel discussion facilitated by Cal Poly Pomona’s Chief Information Officer John McGuthry, and the Director of eLearning Victoria Bhavsar. Panelist included Dean Lea Dopson; Christina De Bono, president of ClearTech; Chi Kwan Fong, Cal Poly Pomona’s Facilities Design & Construction project manager; and Andrew Naranjo, project manager for The Collins College.
The symposium was sponsored by Sharp, Extron, Day-Lite, and Epson.
